Sustaining Success: Two Years of the 4-Day Workweek and Beyond
In September, we reached an important milestone at Pressbooks: two years since we fully embraced the four-day workweek.
What began as a bold experiment has evolved into a defining part of how we work—and how we serve the communities who rely on us. Over the past two years, we’ve learned that fewer hours doesn’t mean less impact. Instead, with the right structure and mindset, it can mean more focus, more creativity, and better outcomes for both our team and our clients.
In my latest article on LinkedIn, I share:
• Survey results showing the overwhelmingly positive impact on job satisfaction and performance.
• Honest reflections from our team on what’s worked well and where we’re still fine-tuning.
• Evidence of improved client outcomes, including higher satisfaction scores and stronger relationships.
This isn’t just about having an extra day off—it’s about building a culture that prioritizes well-being, so we can bring our best selves to the work that matters.
